Profile:

I-Shun Lee — Stage Lighting Designer & Scenographer. I-Shun trained at the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, University of London, with a Master’s degree in Scenography. She also had a solid training as a stage lighting designer at Taipei National University of the Arts. She has worked on various lighting design projects across different countries and cities including the UK, Taiwan, Shanghai, Japan, Prague, Spain, and Denmark. Some of her works have been selected and exhibited at international scenographic events such as PQ 2011 in Prague and World Stage Design 2013 in Cardiff. I-Shun also works as a scenographer, experimenting with body, video, sound, projection, and installation to engage with performing arts and create a unique visual language. Her devised project Caressed was invited to perform at PQ 2015 in Prague.

Abstract:

How light and shadow are embodied in theatrical lighting design; the lighting designer’s workflow and scope of work; real production challenges and dilemmas; and a sharing of recent works.
