Profile:

Hu is a playwright and Screenplay writer from Taipei City. His plays have been produced, developed and published by Taiwan’s leading theatre companies, including Our Theatre, King Kong Wave Production, The Party Theatre Group, Voleur Du Feu Theatre and Indie- Circle. Hu is under commission from the Rustic Pictures Ltd since 2018. He wrote the screenplay for the TV series version of best-selling fantasy novel “Twins: The Mystery Files of Yin and Yu”. Which got the Series development fund from Taiwan Ministry of Culture. He also wrote the original film screenplay “Marriage Accident” which nominated in Rising Asia Script Award. Hu’s most recent plays are “Oh! Hero!”, “Nightclubs Diary: What I Looked Like in Those Years,” and “Return to Life Prequel-Adventures of Poor Young,” which have received several local plays awards, including Tainan Literature Award, Merit Award, HAKKA Project Award and Taishin Arts Award finalist. Hu has just completed his second film screenplay “a Container in the Bamboo Forest,” a high concept Mystery story of lost parent. The film will be directed by the FIRST international film festival best-short winner Chao Koi Wang.
