Hsin-I Kuo received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatrical lighting design from Taipei National University of the Arts. She now works in theatre as a lighting designer and master electrician.

Abstract:

Lighting color matters enormously, but beyond the physics, what matters more is understanding the real-world deviation of fixtures and the equipment in actual use in Taiwan. Drawing on the speaker’s industry experience, this talk introduces the variables that affect lighting beyond the ideal spec sheet, and the importance of knowing each fixture’s real-world characteristics.
